ORGANIZERS
Skyrunning Kosova, the Federation of Equestrian and Climbing Sports of Kosovo, organize the first edition of Sharri Vertical Kilometer, the international vertical kilometer running competition in Bistra on Sunday, October 29, 2024. The purpose of the competition is to promote the sport of mountain running and the choice of runners who will represent Kosovo in the European Skyrunning Championship.

ROUTE
Sharri VK is the vertical kilometer race track in Bistra. Starting from the village of Prevalle, at an altitude of 1,618 m, the athletes follow an uphill route of 3.8 km distance with an altitude of 1,075 m above sea level and reach the altitude of 2,622 m, where the race ends. Sharri Vertical 2023 is the Certified Course by the International Skyrunning Federation in the Vertical Kilometer category at a difficulty level of 2 (10 points).

THE RACE
Start time: 09:00 (with 2:30 hours time limit to complete). The race will have 2 checkpoints (Point 1: At 2.2km and Point 2: At the end); In Point 1, there will be water, bananas, dates, and peanuts. The race will have 3 points where mountain rescue teams will be stationed: Point 1 in the middle, point 2 near the top, and point 3 at the top (finish line)

REGISTRATION
Only for runners aged 18+. Registration is done via (1) KosovoPass.com or (1) on the race day (manually). Registration costs 10 EUR.

AWARDS
The first places will receive 100 EUR, the second 70 EUR, while the third places from 50 EUR

RACE PACKAGE
Each registered runner will receive (1) Number, (2) first aid and water at the finish line, (3) medal, (4) food and drink at the finish.

LIMITS HAVE
The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 100
